Safeguarding

At St. Paul’s Lawn Tennis Club, we are committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for everyone involved in our tennis community. We take our safeguarding responsibilities seriously and work in full compliance with the Lawn Tennis Association

LTA Safeguarding Policies

As a club affiliated with the LTA, we are required to comply with their safeguarding standards, which include:

  • Safe recruitment practices: Coaches undergo comprehensive background checks, including Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks.
  • Code of Conduct: We have a strict code of conduct for all members, players, parents, and volunteers. Promoting respect and positive behaviour at all times.
  • Training: All committee members undergo safeguarding training, ensuring they are aware of the latest policies and how to handle concerns appropriately.
  • Reporting procedures: We have a clear and accessible procedure for reporting any safeguarding issues, with a designated welfare officer available to provide support.

Our Safeguarding Team

Our designated welfare officer is always available to discuss any concerns and to ensure that appropriate action is taken. You can contact Sarah Withers directly at safeguarding@stpaulstennis.co.uk

We are proud to be a club where all members can enjoy the sport of tennis in a safe, supportive, and respectful environment. If you have any questions or concerns regarding safeguarding at the club, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.
